#But what if it’s some sort of situation like the movie Il Mare #And she’s a historian of some kind who uncovers a manuscript #and there are a few ancient notes scribbled in the margins #and she impulsively scribbles a reply to one of the questions (her faculty advisor would KILL her if she ever found out) #but the next day when she checks out the manuscript again #there’s a new ancient note #from the original question asker #responding to what she wrote the day before #and gradually this relationship unfolds between the two of them #the original author of the manuscript #a man of his time so learned he was known as the Doctor #a virtual hermit who has gone into seclusion because of the things he witnessed when he went to war for his country #and the woman working on her graduate thesis #a conversation spanning centuries #on this enchanted piece of paper #falling in love with each others’ minds #She finds a painting of him at one point #ancient and weathered and hanging in an unvisited basement of the National Gallery #and she draws him a picture of herself on the paper one day #and then the only thing that’s left #is to figure out how to span the centuries #so they can finally touch flesh to flesh #instead of flesh to paper and flesh to ink (via gallifreyburning)

The Eleventh Doctor’s Sonic Screwdriver (Doctor Who: The Adventure Games cocktail)

Ingredients:
1 shot vodka
1 shot blue curacao
1 splash Rose Blue Raspberry Mix
Fill glass with orange juice (to color)

Directions: Add first three ingredients into a highball glass with ice.  Fill the rest of the glass with orange juice.  Say “Geronimo” and drink up!

2013 Doctor Who Prom announced by BBC Proms!

Saturday 13 July, 7.30pm and Sunday 14 July, 10.30am at Royal Albert Hall

Doctor Who returns to the Proms to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the popular BBC series. As well as showcasing Murray Gold’s music from the past eight years, the concert also journeys back to the early days of Doctor Who and the groundbreaking work of the BBC Radiophonic Workshop.

Featuring special guests from the series, big screens and a host of monsters ready to invade the Royal Albert Hall, this is not the year to be exterminated!

‘Doctor Who’ 50th: Christopher Eccleston will not be making a return for the 50th Anniversary Special

“Chris met with Steven Moffat a couple of times to talk about Steven’s plans for the Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode,” an official source said.

“After careful thought, Chris decided not to be in the episode. He wishes the team all the best.”
